Vale Sue Beale

It is with tremendous sorrow that we farewell our much-loved Office Manager Susan Beale, who passed away suddenly on October 14. Although Sue had recently been diagnosed with cancer, she was undergoing treatment and was looking forward to returning to work next year. Tragically, Sue suffered a heart attack from which she did not recover.

Sue served an incredible 46 years with Cameron Chisholm Nicol, having commenced with the practice in 1969 at the age of 25. Not surprisingly, she was the heart and soul of the company. Sue orchestrated many moves of office, and watched many people come and go (and often return again) over the years. Always stylish and elegant, she ran a tight ship and was a force to be reckoned with. She was, however, widely known for her warmth, friendliness and humour. In particular, she earned a special place in the hearts of many people who arrived at Cameron Chisholm Nicol as foreigners, and appreciated the friendship and support she offered to them.

Our office is diminished without Sue’s presence at the helm, with her ready smile, her sharp wit, and the history she carried with her. She will be remembered as a caring friend to so many people, and for her immense contribution to the practice. She will be impossible to replace. Rest in peace, Sue.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Pat and to all of Sue’s family.
