SwanCare approval kicks off 2018

Happy New Year. We’re back from our summer break, and off to a good start in 2018 with our aged care facility for SwanCare in Bentley receiving unanimous JDAPs approval.

This exciting project implements our considerable research into design for the complex needs of aged care and dementia. The design concept takes a whole-of-building approach, breaking down space into legible, familiar components using the analogy of home / street / neighbourhood / village / town. Construction is due to commence in April.

We’ve got plenty of other interesting projects currently lined up for the year ahead.

In the retirement living sector, we’re creating 56 independent living units and a clubhouse for RAAFA in Bullcreek, and 83 apartments for Southcare in Manning.

We’re looking forward to creating 46 luxury apartments for TRG within LandCorp’s Parkside Walk urban infill in Jolimont. Marketing for TRG’s Amara in Melville commences next month.

We continue to work with boutique developer Match, with construction about to get underway on the sold-out M/28 in South Fremantle. The M/31 townhouses in Shoreline, North Coogee, should also commence construction before the year is out.

Our new depot for Western Power at Vasse commences construction next week, and we’re designing a depot at Picton and alterations to the Merredin and Northam depots.

We’re working with aquaculture company Ocean Grown Abalone to deliver their headquarters, visitor centre and processing plant on an marina site in Augusta. Last but not least, ongoing defence work will keep us busy at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island.

We’d love to hear from you if you have a new project that you would like to discuss.
