PPP bid win

The State Government has announced the EduWest consortium as the preferred company for the first eight schools to be built under a Public Private Partnership (PPP). Cameron Chisholm Nicol and Mode are the architects to EduWest, which is comprised of Macquarie Capital Group Limited, builders Badge Constructions (WA) and Perkins (WA), and Spotless Facilities Services.

Three consortia were shortlisted in January to prepare submissions for the $370m schools project. The proposal preparation process was the most intensive ever undertaken by our office, so we are very pleased to be a part of the preferred bid. The State will now enter into exclusive negotiations with EduWest about the technical detail of the proposal and subject to successful negotiations, the contract is expected to be signed by the end of September with work to begin in October.

The first eight PPP schools are primary schools Landsdale East, Alkimos South West, Baldivis North and Byford South West, and secondary schools Ellenbrook North, Lakelands, Hammond Park and Harrisdale.
