New Perth Stadium appointment

Cameron Chisholm Nicol has been appointed as the State’s Advisor for Architecture on the new Perth Stadium project after a successful tender bid.

Positioned on the Burswood Peninsula, the 60 000 seat stadium will be Australia’s third-biggest sporting venue.

The practice will work closely with the Department of Treasury, Strategic Projects and Department of Sport and Recreation and the Office of the Government Architect to provide technical advice across three phases of the Design-Build-Finance-Maintain (DBFM) contract project.

Construction of the Stadium is due to start in 2014, for completion by the start of the 2018 Australian Football League season.
